Illustrative Photography

I had a difficult time establishing a personal definition for illustrative photography. It is often a photo with some level of control (or the elements have received some sort of direction or significant modification), thus excluding photojournalism. The true definition is in the style itself, illustrative photographs are illustrations of ideas, concepts, objects or products. With this in mind, the entirety of my surrealist gallery could be considered illustrative. However, that would create a a fairly large gallery. Thus, for the purposes of this site, illustrative photography will be any work done on tabletop.
